Dr Cindy Tromans confirmed as ECOO President

Dr Cindy Tromans from the UK has been confirmed by the ECOO General Assembly on 23 April 2021 as President until the next elections taking place in autumn 2022.

Following the resignation of ECOO’s President Dott. Ing. Massimo Revelli from Italy, Dr Cindy Tromans from the UK has been confirmed by the ECOO General Assembly on 23 April 2021 as President until the next elections, taking place in autumn 2022. ECOO President-elect, Dr Matjaž Mihelčič from Slovenia will then become ECOO President.

Dr Cindy Tromans is the Immediate Past President of ECOO and held the Presidency from 2018 and 2020. She is a Consultant Optometrist and Head of Optometry Services at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital Honorary and Clinical Lecturer in the University Department of Ophthalmology, University of Manchester, where she specialises in emergency eye care, therapeutic contact lenses, keratoconus and ophthalmic ultrasound and maintains an active clinical and research role in these areas. She has contributed to ECOO’s work and successes for many years and her Presidency concluded with a key highlight: the launch the Blue Book 2020 on World Sight Day.
