As he comes towards the end of his term of office, ECOO President Dr Matjaž Mihelčič reflects in our latest article on some of the highlights for ECOO over the past two years and some of the new projects and challenges to come.
These highlights include the return of ECOO members to the twice yearly General Assembly meetings, and the expansion of ECOO membership to now represent optometrists and opticians in 25 European countries. Also the continuing development of the European Diploma in Optometry and the European Qualification in Optics. ECOO’s role as a partner in Horizon I-SCREEN project is a major piece of work for the coming years which will enable optometrists to contribute to more effective pathways of care for patients.
