Following a challenge by ECOO members OSO and OPTIKSCHWEIZ, the Swiss Federal Administrative Court (Bundesverwaltungsgericht) has overturned the examination regulations for a proposed new
professional qualification “Expert in Optics”. This lower-level qualification had been approved by the government regulator, but the Court overturned this because of the failure to involve professional organisations in the proposal. You can read more about the case here.
