ECOO held its spring meetings and General Assembly in Helsinki, 11-13 May 2024, hosted by Finnish member Näkemisen ja silmäterveyden toimiala (NÄE) – the Finnish Association of Vision and Eyecare.
With over 50 representatives of members in attendance, during the formal business of the General Assembly members voted for France and Greece to join ECOO. There were then presentations from Sandra Block of the World Council of Optometry and Sarah Bartz of GfK. During the meetings there were lively discussions on a variety of issues, including the role of AI in healthcare, clinical discussions and the upcoming European elections.
