At the ECOO General Assembly, held in Helsinki on 11 May 2024, ECOO members voted unanimously in favour of membership applications from both the Fédération Nationale des Opticiens de France (FNOF) and the Panhellenic Union of Opticians and Optometrists (PEOO).
ECOO now represents 25 European countries through 46 national member associations. ECOO members works together to promote eye health to the public across borders and to harmonise clinical and educational standards of optometric and optical practice throughout Europe
